NHCDC Vision statement- India is still at a nascent stage with respect to awareness and acceptance of developmental issues in children. However, there is a growing need for specialty based Therapeutic Services and Rehabilitation Centres. These Centres can provide early Diagnosis and Multi-Disciplinary Intervention in a comprehensive and integrated fashion. AT NHCDC, our vision is “To help every child under our care get coordinated and consistent therapy by Therapeutic Intervention in order to help the child achieve his or her best potentials” We believe “Every Child Can Do Better”.

Genesis- Dr. Dalwai realized that a number of children require much more than regular medications and immunizations. He took keen interest in children’s development and reflected that every child grows differently and is differently abled. No child is similar to the other in his strengths and weaknesses. A number of children were affected either in motor or speech development or had difficulties in academic performance or behavior and social integration. These children were in need of timely detection, intensive, regular and developmentally appropriate Therapy to achieve their maximal potential. However, awareness, sensitivity and modalities to intervene with these issues were at a nascent stage in the 1990’s even in a Metropolis like Mumbai. These reflections sowed the seeds for New Horizons Child Development Centre.

New Horizons Child Development Centre (NHCDC) is a Centre dedicated to the optimal development of all children. NHCDC was founded by Dr.Samir Dalwai, Pediatrician, in 2003 - with special interest in Child Development, Child Psychology and Child Law, with the vision that “Every Child Can Do Better”. Today, 6 years later, New Horizons has catered to more than 5000 differently abled children with varying developmental concerns and has also started 2 branches one at Pawar Public School ( Bhandup) and the other at Lilavatibai Podar School ( Santacruz).
